I have a project in which I created a large topo surface for, placed some building pads in the appropriate places, and got the results I was looking for in my section veiws etc. The "earth" topo surface was being cut and dropped below the pad, which is the purpose of the pad. Well, I make some changes to the topo surface later on for a presentation, i.e., split surface, sub regions etc., and now the topo is not being cut by the pad in section view. So I deleted all of the pads and started over with hopes maybe I just made Revit think a little to much, but that didn't help. My topo surface is still not being cut by the pads, although just yesterday everything was fine.

Could someone give me a suggestion. Thank you!!

Ok, Got it. I had to go back and merge my topo-surfaces together to get it to work.

How can you merge your topo-surfaces together ?

Just use the merge suface command at the design bar to merge surfaces again take note this button is in active if you don't have split surfaces.
