Hi All

I encounted a problem with the sunglass tool.

I have a model with an inplace family bulkhead which I am trying to hide when print on asheet with other views. I have hidden this inplace ceiling in the view. It does not shown on the screen but it does get printed.

Am I missing something ?

Thanks

The hide/isoloate tool is for view/display only. It is intended to allow you to see into parts of the model that may be blocked by other geometry. For instance, you may hide the roofs, to see into the building in a 3D view. It does not affect what gets printed.

I learnt something about the Hide Tool the other day.

If you check the box " All Objects of the Same Category", you get the additional choice " Make Permanent" which, like the name says, will make that change permanent in the view. To revert to what you had, you would need to use vis graphics.

In Jit's case, this may be handy if the generic object in the view is the only one, as then its turned off for printing. ( Same as you could do with the V V keyboard shortcut )
