Importing acad titleblocks for reuse

I am trying to create a new titleblock (family) in Revit using our old one as a template (for tracing over).

Revit won't center the drawing and it asks to explode which I did and still I cannot import into a new titleblock family to use as a trace over.

Any ideas?

Were your adesk titleblocks set up to work in model space as opposed to paper space?

A 24" x 36" titleblock in Revit is 24" x 36". Scaling of the view is handled by the view, similar in concept but different than Autodesk's paperspace.

The original tb's were setup in model space 1:1

Thats the problem they should be in paperspace at real plot size.
