View Full Version : Section Mark "disapparated"!

I created a section through my building, turned off the marker's visibility to make a presentation plot, and now I can't get the mark to reappear. Visibility settings for sections in the plan view are ON (& other section marks created more recently are visible). The mark will not prehighlight when I move my cursor to where it should be on the plan. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Forgive me if this topic's already been discussed; I did a search for it & came up blank.

Dean,

Is the section view still showing in the project browser? If so Right click on the view name and select "Find Referring views." Pick a floor view and the section should be pre-highlighted.

Good luck

Chris

Is it (the section marker) possibly in a design option that's not currently showing in the view??

Or a workgroup?

As Z pointed out in a recent post, your section could be set to NOT display in the view scale of your view. See image>>>

Thanks, guys. It was set not to display at scales coarser than 1/8" = 1', but I didn't realize it until I changed the scale of the plan view to from 3/32" to 1/8", at which point the mark suddenly reappeared!

BTW, who changed my spelling in the subject line? I thought I was being clever with the "disapparated" Harry Potter version. Oh, well.
