Is there a way to control the width factor for dimension string fonts?
I am using font type Arial.

If you are referring to 'kerning' of fonts then no. Revit does not have that capability. The best you can do is try to find a font which is more of an extended version.

In lieu of trying to force text into a given distance like you can in acad, you can highlight the dimension, & then grab the dim text by the blue shape handle dot & drag it to a different position. Once you get a certain distance from it's original positon, a leader will appear, connecting that dimension text to it's dimension location.

I am changing from ADT 3.3 to Revit 6. In ADT under properties for font,
it is possible to set the width factor. We usually set it at .90 or .80 to "squeeze" the font into a tight space. That is what I am trying to accomplish.

Use Arial Narrow as opposed to Arial for the dimensions where you need to 'squeeze' 'em in. Or just use Arial Narrow for your standard, and all the text will look skinnier.
There is no width factor for True Type fonts used by Revit.

Thanks all :D I really like the way revit automatically puts in the leaders when you move a dimension. I also think I will look into the Arial narrow font as well.
