Grouping

I would like to group modeling elements together and then be able turn on or off that group's visiblity in views. I need more control over what is visible and selectable within a particular view. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

You can create sub-categories for object styles. Under SETTINGS/OBJECT STYLES select the category of object you are creating and create any number of new sub-categories. You then assign the sub-category to the object and you will be able to control its display.
You can also use phases and design options.

Object Styles and Phases seem to operate by category. I would like some way of grouping and managing sets of elements across categories.

Workgroups would do it.

Do the tutorial first, if you havn't used them.

I'll definitely take a look at worksets. I haven't needed them and don't remember much from the tutorial. Thanks.
