View Full Version : Trouble with MAX 8 installer

I'm trying to load MAX 8 onto my system & the installer keeps locking up at the very begining after I've told it to start installing. It just sits there & never starts to install. If I go into the Windows Task manager, it tells me the installer is still running, yet nothing happens.

Any thoughts?

Only information I could come up with was...

I don't know if any of it will help though.

I was fixing another computer at the same time & was having trouble getting it to behave & one of the suggestions to get the software to install properly was to do a clean boot. Basically you use the msconfig utility to turn off all application not needed upon start up of your computer. I did that & it finally allowed me to install it. I think some other autodesk program was running in the background & preventing it to install.

Try that, if AutoDESK is using the same installer for all products. This worked for our install problems with AutoCAD 2013 MEP
