Conical sloped roof

Does anyone, especially you early adopters remember a tutorial that showed how to create a canopy with a glass conical roof with a sloped top? It might have been V6 or earlier.

Can't remember how to do this type of roof, I know it's a blend, but I can't figure out or remember how to slope the top.

The easiest way now is to build the conical shape as a mass, and apply Curtain Wall by Face. Slope the top by cutting it off with a void.
