Brick Coursing

Is there a better way to do brick coursing in Revit than figuring out the courses the "old fashioned way" and using detail components?

Can you be more descriptive? I'm not sure I understand what you want Revit to do.

Henry, if I'm understanding you correctly, this sounds like a good case for the repeating detail component tool .

Load a detail component in the drafting view, select repeating detail, ( brick in section ) go to properties, edit , create a repeating detail type, in this case layout would be fixed distance with spacing at say 86 mm, ( 76 mm brick and 10 mm joint )stretch the detail component up the page.... magic ! no calculation, no arrays.

Thanks Beegee - the repeating detail is what I was looking for - it worked great -the infant stages of my wall detail is attached. I would love to see the gallery include CD details along with renderings. I think a well drawn detail is as beautiful as a nice rendering and it would be great for learning.
