Hi All,
This is a rendering of my recent project, a resident house in palembang, Indonesia I just did a week ago. Modeled and rendered with revit 5.1, (and a little bit of photoshop). comments are welcome. Thanks.

Are the ceiling heights really 4 metres? They look that way from the scaling of your people. Also why the raking flank and rear walls?

I have to say my initial impression is that it doesnt look like the average Revit rendering - the lighting must have taken a lot of work, did you switch the sun off and add lots of lighting or is it photoshop work? very nice model, particularly the fencing and the window feature, are they masked decals or modelled?

Pretty amazing, Greek pediment, Ionic columns, Rococo type railings and a South East Asian roof - you pulled out all the stops. How did you do those railings? Are they extrusions?

Thanks for the all the reply!

First I'm sory for my language, I don't speak english frequently.
The ceiling height is actually 3.4 meters. (the rpc model is 1.6 meters high)

I didn't turn the skylight off, but I did set the time to 5 PM (so the skylight doesn't get to bright and not to dim), and add a lots of empty light (custom family lights without any solid). I'm trying to simulate soft shadows.

To keep the polygon (and the modeling time) minimum, The railings, fencing and the window bars are transparent decals. draw it on autocad, exported to jpeg, and imported to revit as decals, and use a color mask.

I hope thats usefull for everyone.

The lighting really works, it looks great. Thanks for sharing the info on creating those fences :)

I've finished a few exterior rendered views but all have been daylight illuminated. I would like to render one of my projects at dusk. There are some exterior lights to illuminate key portions of the building and there are the lights insiding the building visible through the windows. Any tips on adjusting the rendering settings? Should I turn the sun off, or just lower its angle until its just at the horizon? Anyone experimented with this type of view?

Thanks in advance. :?:
