I created a rebar stick as Structural Framing category item. When I use it in a project there is a "Cut Length" parameter which defines real length less than desired. What is an idea that parameter of how to manipulate with it?
Any suggestions will be appreciate.

The cut length parameter seems to be affected by the automatic snapping and is quite often less than the actual length of material which would be required. It is dangerous to use this parameter for any purpose and I would suggest that if you do use it you only conduct approximate calculations with it.

Thank you
I am scheduling a framing plan. I have a few problems:
1. How can a cut length be longer than a length? The cut length measures to the proper length in the schedule.
2. If I copy a member to another location, every thing changes. Example. joist at side wall of stair need to be doubled with 1/2" space to match partition. Start and End dimensions change. Why?
3. Doubling or tripling members same thing, Need to revise member but the Start & End Dimensions change.
I must be drawing them wrong, I want them to joint to the bond & be on a bearing wall. Seems like a lot of work to get them to join properly.
How is everyone accomplishing this in residential type work?
