Curved roofs

I am a new Revit user and am trying to draw curved or barrel vault roofs, but am having some difficulty in doing so. Can anyone give me any tips or pointers on how to successfully draw barrel vault roofs?

Roof by extrusion is the way to go.Tutorials cover this. Also the massing tool allows roofs to be picked. Again there's a good tutorial on this.

The key issues with roof by extrusion are:

1. You draw a profile of the roof and the depth of the roof is downward from there.
2. You have to be in a view that can show perpendicular to the length of the extrusion. You will have to pick a working plane.
3. For extrusions, negative numbers are lengths into the screen and positive numbers are lengths from the screen.

Just how to get a workplane.Draw a ref plane in your plan view and right click on it and give a name, now it becomes a workplane.
