View Full Version : Angled Dynamic Block?

Is there a way to create a dynamic block that changes based on a changing angle? For example, at a parapet, there are multiple points where the insulation must be drawn to show a reducing slope. This takes a fair amount of time and it would be great for a dynamic block to be told a starting point and a finishing point (based on a 45 degree slope for example) and then for it to do the rest of the tedious work. Is there a way for a dynamic block to recognize this sort of drawing boundary?

that particular excersize sounds like a lisp routine. for what you are describing, I use pline "batts" and step-scale them till full insul. thickness. lots easier.... hey, look... an example file!

it might be a LISP routine.I have never used LISP yet (gasp), so I'm gonna let my ignorance show a bit. What you provided pretty much looks like that I was talking about. Would it be possible for you to share the LISP routine that does that? And maybe some instructions on how to use it?

Is it possible to modify it so that it does it with rigid insulation as well as batting?

Attached is what I want to happen. But I also want it to be able to change if the slope of the triangle changes along with it. I've tried almost everything I know, which isn't much, and still to no avail. Help me! Help Me! I've fallen and I can't get up!
