Am I in the right thread category? I am so confused. There is no category for Civil 3-D.

I cant find my MAP Menu in Civil 3-D. Please HELP! Am I supposed to be in using LD?
I am trying to Create Object Data.

I tried MENULOAD

I tried switching profiles, which by the way is acting up as well. None of my tool bar selections are staying as I put them. It is driving me nuts which is a short drive but that is besides the point.

I have:
Civil 3-D 2006
Land Desktop 2006
Land enabled Map 2006
Raster Design 2006 on LD 2006
Raster Design 2006 on Civil 3-D 2006

Any clue would be lovely. An explanation on why I would chose LD over 3-D or Land enabled.

Thanks a billion.

Kimberly,

I'm not sure of the answer for you right now, but I have moved this from the Civil Design Companion General (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=97) forum to this one as I feel that is where it will be most beneficial.

Kimberly:

All 2006 products have changed from the standard menu pallets that you were used to to what is now call the CUI, what you can do is bring up the workspace toolbar in Civil 3D and on that toolbar there is a drop down where you can switch to Map.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Melanie,

I found that out in the help menu.
View-->Menu/toolbar Layout --> Map classic or MAP 3-D before I picked this, the workspace dropdown didn't have Map anything on it????? I just want to open one Icon and have all the (what used to be called modules) avaliable. Maybe I need to run through the "What's NEW" tutorial.

thanks for the reply.

Richard, I couldn't find the 3-D forum, thanks for redirecting me :o)
