It would be useful to be able to mate two holes and not get an error if they are within a certain range. The user would be able to specify a range. This would eliminate problems when two hole patterns are off by .001", for example when fractions are rounded off differently by different users.

Another useful but difficult feature would be a "slot mate", to mate a hole and a slot and allow for the part with the slot to move back and forth just as it would in real life.

I'll admit this is pretty far out - maybe Inventor 20 or so?

I concur with the slot mate request, a close constraint option when constructing assemblies in MDT was/is the use of the diagonal point, point, and mid point of that line constraint, I recently tried to replicate this process in Inventor 10 and ran out of patience and used the standard options which were not quite as definite.
Any one else been there yet?
