Electrical Fixtures

I am trying to change my outlet's line weight from 1 to 2. In the project I went to "Settings > Object Styles > then to elecrical fixtures and changed it, but it didn't change in the project but did change in the family. Am I doing something wrong?

Strange but true, the furnished Revit electrical outlets are annotation. Go to your object styles and change general annotation from 1 to 2 on the line weight.

Okay thanks that worked. But why is there even an electircal fixture setting under object style when it's an annotation?

The annotation is nested inside a model family - a typical Revit technique for combining graphical information with real world model information. For more control of the lineweight add a Electrical subcategory to your annotations and you'll then be able to change the lineweight of these apart from other annotation.
