Floors

Hi everyone,

A few questions:

1. Is there any difference between the "floor" (created using Basics menu) and the "slab" created using structural menu?
2. If so, is there anyway you could have a 3D view showing only the structural slabs (not pavements)? (Something similar to using structural discipline in View properties - it will only display structural walls vs non bearing walls)
3. Which works best? Having 1 floor (structure + pavement) or to separate floors?

The floor and slab tools are the same. It looks like you should be able to set the slab as structural but you can't check the check box...I tested in Structure and you can check it there.
You have some other options, put the structural items on their own workset, or give them there own phase, or draw the structure in a seperate file and link it in, this is the method we use and it works very well

Quite a complete answer in 4 lines :D
I'll give the worksets a try.
However, I do think that an increased amount of control over structural elements would be welcomed.
