Expand the size of the text entry boxes, lists, and tables or enable stretching of dialog boxes, text entry boxes, tables, etc. Military work in particular has long descriptions with the most specific aspect of the description being at the extreme right. The progression is Noun, modifier, modifier, etc. getting more specific from left to right. Short fields do not allow the user to see the end of the description.
