void in wall...how to do it

hello, could any one help me
i need to make a hole in a wall to get a picture of is layer's
is that possible with a void? a opening or what
...the wall had varios laye´r of material, brick, finish(stuco) termal ..etc

any help please????

does the hole need to go all the way through the wall, and how do you want the finish materials to wrap at the hole's edge?

Why not take a section through the wall, and set the view properties of the view to 'fine" to show all the layers?

what i really want is something like this
but i made this using a kind of diferent wall for each layer

If you need it in a standard view then take a section and look at that, but make sure it is set to fine. If you need it in a rendered view then I am uncertain.
