View Full Version : Going crazy or why beams join non bearing walls?

I'm getting so frustrated... I'm getting this message all the time :

"A structural framing member element is attached to a wall whose Structural Usage is set to Non-bearing" (see enclosed image).

Why on Earth does a structural element have to join a non-structural wall?
The Framing element should only try to join another structural member.

I understand that Revit tries to warn you about a possible user mistake, but it causes more problems than it solves. Example: In 3D structural views I have once again beams that don't touch other structural elements because I have a partition wall above.
It's wrong.

I work with reinforced concrete.

You can try "disallow Joint"

Select the wall right click the blue dot at the end of the wall near to the beam,,,then disallow joint,

Cheer up........
