Guys,
Is it possible to set Blocks up in Toolpalettes so that the attributes scale respectively to the paper space scale ?
I have noticed when you make a Block in 2006 there is a tick box for "scaling uniformly"
what does this do ?
Regards
Stephen
Stephen,
I don't believe it is possible to scale a block to the paper space scale ( I presume you are talking about a viewport scale ).
"scaling uniformly" will make the block be inserted with the same scale for x, y, and z directions. If it is unchecked, the block can be distorted if so one chooses a different scale for the x, y, and z directions.

Richard,
Thanks for your reply.
Well there is no problems with dreaming, had a feeling it couldn't be done.
Oh well.

Have you thought about submitting a wish (http://www.augi.com/autocad/submitwish.asp) to the AutoCAD Wish List (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=246)?

It would be nice if the scale value could be an integer variable, such as USERI1.

If your dimscale value corresponds to your viewport scale you could use the auxiliary scale value to scale your blocks to the dimscale. You can also scale to Plot scale but if you are using viewports that value is probably 1. If you just want to scale the attributes (text) and view them in different scaled viewports I think you are out of luck. If just in one viewport you might be able to change the size with one of the dynamic block features.
