I'm looking for some help if possible. I've just moved jobs and have gone from 2005 base CAD to 2005 land desktop. the AutoCAD portion of desktop dosn't have the pick from mid point on the selection tools. I'm hoping that someone out there has the string command for this somewhere as its a option I found useful.

cheers

type MID while in a command. You should also be able to right-click to access the pop up menu for osnaps.

what I'm after is the command that allows you to disect between two points the cammand in the menu file is m2p. You know the one that allows you to pick two points and will select the mid point between them.

Then you already know the command. I misunderstood you original question. To get the midpoint between two points (not necessarily on any entities) is to use the M2P at the command line while in a command.
