Help with wall finish

I create a wall with a stucco exterior and gypboard interior. The stucco finish shows up dipicticting the chosen finish (view properties set to shading with edges), but I can never get the interior to show up as a color. It always shows up in elevations as a grey shade. Could someone tell me how to get the interior walls to show up correctly?

Shaded views are driven by the material. If you edit the structure of your wall and then edit the material for your gyp layer you should be able to edit the color used. If it's set to white, it will ofter show up as grey because of shadows. If you imagine your walls sides of a cube, it will only show up as white on 1 of the six faces and shade of grey on all the rest.
