Does anyone know of a program to view hatch patterns. I saw one on a VBA developer (I think that's what it was called) web site but the program is under re-construction. Any other ideas?

...give me a chance here. I just started making a program that will let you draw a hatch swatch in a drafting view - and then convert that to a Revit pattern.
I just have a bit of math to work out, but then it shouldn't take too long to assemble.

This is something that needs to be integrated into Revit. This is one of a few features that ArchiCAD offers that remains in the back of my mind, and that occassionally (like this morning) I could really use to streamline my work. You'll have to change your avatar to some kind of super hero once you get that program finished.

Aaron, will this program by any chance, allow you to view and possibly print a swatch (similar to the pages found on the rugi site) either way, I would be very interested in this program.
I'v tried the cadslides bladams mentioned and seems to work good. I just can't figure how to print a list of pats. Guess becuase I still don't know the program yet!
Thanks to all!

Love to hear how ... and what methods you are using Aaron.

are you writing something that will actually be a graphics editor in its own right or will it take a screen shot of a fixed area and then work that up into a hatch pattern?

You know what they say, never volunteer for anything. :D Thanks for tackling it. Its bound to be a popular download when finished.

well it is not a program for REVIT, but here is a lisp routine for autocadd.it got it from CADALYST 10/05 Tip 2065: Hatch Make by Larry Schiele. Gives you the result that you want, you just have to bring it into revit
