Hello.

In Autocad 2005 (French version), sometimes it is impossible to open several drawings at the same time.

There can be an error message or simply certain drawings are not activated.

The drawings are selected with a displacement of mouse, such CROSSING in Autocad, in the OPEN window (Ctrl+O).

Variable "SDI" is well adjusted to 0 (zero) for "Turns on multiple-drawing interfaces".

Does another variable have to be checked in Autocad according to you?

Do you have an idea of the possible reason of this problem, checks to be made?

As always, I thank you in advance.

Bye!

On the "Is it plugged in" type of a question, Do you have enough available memory to open them all? Just my first thought.

Next question, just certain drawings, or certain project? Or can you not even open a group of blank drawings. SDI is the only sysvar that I know of that would allow you to open either only one drawing (SDI=1) or multiple drawings (sdi=0). Can you open this group individually? Might one of the drawings be a little corrupt? Are you referencing one of the drawings you are trying to open into another drawing you are trying to open at the same time. I'm just brainstorming here. The goofy :screwy: thing here is that you said some of the do open while others selected don't. When you get an error message what does it say?

As suggested, I will make other checks.

I will look at the drawings individually of the project which indicated to me a user in order to see whether some have problems.

As also indicated, I will look at if they are not referred drawings the ones the others (XREF).

I am all the same glad to know that the command "SDI" is the only one which or not makes it possible to work several drawings in the same session.

I should return with results and/or comments.

Thank you.
