Run time error causes acad to crash when hide is applied to camera view? any ideas?

Can You post the exact text of the error message that youre getting. It will help us troubleshoot the error metter. You cna also try entering the text of the error message in google and see if it returns anything.

I could find nothing directly that describes that error. Out of curiosity, What kind of video Card are you using on your computer? and do you have Hardware acceleration enabled?

Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420
Hardware accelleration set to full
Todays Solution! We pasted dwg into another dwg with cameras and used a camera that had worked previously and IT WORKED!!! Hidden camera view did not crash.

While that soloution worked I would suggest turning off Harware accelleration in ADT, most consumer video cards like the Geforce MX 420 have issues in ADT due to the nature of their drivers not being stable enough.
