Wall Reveal Help

I am trying to create a 2-inch-depth of a wall reveal for the Blue highlighted wall area. The reveal should have the material as the wall which is brick. I went through Revit help and could not find a good way to do it. I would appreciate all tips and tricks from you guys on how to do it. Thanks

Use an in-place void to cut the wall, then use the paint tool to apply the wall material to the cut.
