View Full Version : rotating 2d plots
When I preview my plots they are shown as I wish them to be: the 36" along the bottom of the screen, but when they are viewed in the DWF viewer the 24" length is at the bottom of the screen. How do I correct this? They are not easily readable this way. I see no rotate tool in the DWF viewer.
TIA

Hi
Are you using paper size "ARCH D: 24 x 36 in" when creating the DWF file?
If yes, I believe to workaround the issue / problem you are experiencing, you need to create a custom paper size eg "Custom ARCH D: 36 x 24 in" and output to DWF using that paper size.
As far as I know ( which means nothing ), DWF Viewer does not have a "Rotate" view option.
May I suggest that would make a very good "DWF Viewer Wish List (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=269)" item ( in my humble opinion ).
Have a good one, Mike
Thanks Mike. I am surprised a work around is necessary to print on one the most common sheet sizes. I don't think this should be a wish list item. I would call it a bug fix since the sheet displays correctly in preview then rotates 90 degrees when you actually print.

Regarding a possible "DWF Viewer Wish List (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=269)" item, I was referring to "As far as I know ( which means nothing ), DWF Viewer does not have a "Rotate" view option." ie
Functionality within DWF Viewer to "Rotate" view ( similar to Adobe Reader "Rotate View - Clockwise / Counterclockwise" option ).

Check your settings in the print dialogue Joe. You have to make sure that not only the dwf writer settings are landscape (or portrait) but the view settings as well. Not sure why but one seems to override the other and the settigns don't seem to stick.
Thanks Dimitri, I'll give that a try.
