I attempted to see if the hatching in Revit walls are working as the in "real world" and noticed that the grout lines do not line up in a manner that matches the way masons stack brick. I have a example of a 8" CMU wall with 4" CMU sweeps at 32" intervals vertically. The problem is exhibited in this example attached, shouldn't the group lines be aligned in the order by the modular units if the CMU's height? Any solutions to this?

Thanks,
David

I don't understand, what are the 4" courses for?

All CMU walls I've ever detailed use 8" block, with an 8" or 16" U-block at the top, and sometimes at various intervals within the wall.

Maybe it's a regional thing?

It shouldn't be an just a regional thing. I expect the 4" course to be a split faced accented color band to lend interest to the elevations and provide depth. Also, there are instances where this has been done in a diagonal manner across the facade of the exterior wall. Not to mention that the sweep is created in the wall, not added as a sweep after creating the wall. And the sweep pops out 1" from the wall face.
