Nice little gem new to 6.1
The Hide/Isolate tool has to little boxes you check to select "all object of same category" and "make permanent". I found it incredibly annoying to be constantly checking these when I needed to turn off categories.
Now in 6.1 when you check these boxes Revit remembers and keeps them checked the next time you start the Hide/isolate tool. :D

All that we need now is to be able to hide one Element, and then print...very useful, should this be a wishlist item?

Still think Revit misses the boat on this feature. Viz had the worlds best isolate function. Would be a perfect fit with Revit.

Aaron I totally agree, there is another one that I wish I had in Revit that is so powerfull in Max/Viz & thats the awesome selection filters. It's sort of there with worksets but you have to create them each time.

definitely!!! very very useful, as we dont have layers to hide things - if you could save different ones like view templates 8) would be good.

Similar request already started. Printing was not considered. Add your refinements here. (http://www.zoogdesign.com/forums/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=971&sid=ba493616642e11e08672f5f0481cda8c)

Is is possible to have a linestyle (or the option within linestyle creation) that is visible on the screen but doesn't plot. If you have construction lines you need to see them on the screen but you don't want to plot them.
I know you can turn off line styles prior to plotting but there are times when the lines you have created will never need plotting. The invisible line style seems to be invisible on the screen until you hover over it and so this style is not appropriate for this situation. In my title sheets I have the page extents in an invisible line style because I only want the title block to appear on the sheets but I still need the perimeter line to see how big the sheet is. This would be good to be in a non-plottable line so I can still see it on the sheet without having to hover over it every time.
I think this could also apply to elements as Martin & Alex mentioned. To be able to view elements on the screen but know that due to the "plotting" settings they wouldn't print would be a huge time saver in not having to turn things off.
Is that along the same lines as you guys were thinking ?

Ref Planes can be used as construction lines, and can be set not to print in the print dialog box.
