Every time I click to dimension from a vehicle model to a wall Revit crashes. Does anyone know why? or how to resolve this error?

Is that vehicle a genuine Revit model or a DWG import?
I don't use DWG vehicles because they may contain more faces than a whole building.
It slowed Revit to a crawl although I didn't experienced any crash.

Could you post a screenshot?

It just so happens I came across the answer to this little problem. However I still cannot explain why it crashes.

The vehicle model is a geniune Revit model and when dimensioning to any component you must dimension, especially if it is a 3d model, to the refrence line which is created in the family editor. Now, why it crashes everytime I click on it, I have no idea, except that there is some sort of confusion when trying to pick a line. Even though Revit is 3d based I don't think the dimension tool works on a dynamic cooridinate system. Meaning, when dimensioning, the distance being measured can only be calculated if both points of distance are on plane that is parallel to the viewport.

The dimension tool knows to be on the working plane and when a model is introduced and there is not a refrence plane to measure to, the dim. tool will not know which line element to attach to.

I think?
