I have a floor with an opening cut, and for some reason I can't seem to pick the cut so I can edit its outline. I've tried going to several plan and 3D views, but when I mouse over the edge of the cut in the floor, only the floor pre-highlights, and when I hit Edit it gives me the outline of the floor itself to edit with no sketch lines at the opening cut. What am I doing wrong?

TAB on the opening?? Watch the Status bar at the bottom while tabbing until it says "Opening", then click. then edit.

I get this as well.
It's easier to select the opening in a 3D view, it highlights "more".

Also, I find it very helpful adding some symbolic lines - it makes the selection process a lot easier.

okay I finally was able to select it in a 3D view. Tabbing was not working at all in any plan views, it would only select the floor itself and nothing else.

You may have been able to draw a crossing window through the opening, selecting the floor and the opening at the same time. then use the filter to exclude the floor from the selection.

That's wierd, if I do a crossing window over one part of the opening cut, it doesn't show up in the filter list. But if I do the crossing window over a different part of the opening cut, it does show in the filter window.

*HELP*
I need help about those openings in elements. I see the issue in some walls and beams, and there is absolutely no way to tab to the openings in elements.

I am working with a model which someone else did start long time ago, so I am not able to figure out in which way those openings were made. But my guess would be that the "Model-In-Place" tool has been used while creating those.

I did solve the problem by my self, and I would like to tell you how. I tried to turn on every workset, and afterwards I was able to select the openings.
