Bug? Layer settings keep changing back

I'm not sure where the best place to put this is, but since I'm running civil3d I'll put it here.

I have a base drawing that contains my plan & profile data, I xref it to my production sheet as an overlay, I create 2 views, one for twisted plan view and the other for the profile view.
I then setup layers to match standards, purge all, "Save Drawing".

Change views from plan to profile and then back to plan and all my layer settings have been undone.

If I undo back through the view changes, the layer settings are restored.

Anyone have any ideas?

Nope, but when you create a new view it automatically saves layer settings to it and the only way to get rid of it is to right click on each view inside the dialog box and delete layer info there.
Unless there is a variable that I don't know about?
I haven't been using 2006 very long, so maybe someone else has some insight?

You can also tell the view command to not save the layer states when you create the view. It is a check box in the lower portion of the New... view dialog box.

Have you tried the layerp command to get your previous layer settings? This should restore the changes to your layer settings without having to use the undo command.

Problem with telling the view command not to save layer states, is that you have to unselect layer settings with every new view.
Why wouldn't there be a variable to control this?
