Displaying new and exisiting topo in elevations?

I need to cut several sections through our site to show the cut and fill. I was wondering how everyone else was going about this. I would like to show the existing and the new in the same elevation.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

when you create your existing topo make sure it is on the existing phase, then when you start grading, then graded surface will be copied to the new phase and you can just set your phase filter accordingly to show both.

I did what Scott mentioned the exsting and new topo show great in my sections; however, I can't seem to get them both to show on my Site Grading Plan. Any thoughts?
