View Full Version : Pipe Part Swap

I doubt that I am the only one who has gotten 95% complete with a project when they want to change pipe materials. I've got a pipeline that is 6 miles long, and they now tell me they want to change the pipe material on 75% of the pipeline. Obviously, I would want to swap the pipe with one of the correct material, but it only lets me select one piece of pipe at a time. I can do this with no problem, but when I've still got about 3 miles of pipe to go through, it's a bit tedious. Is there a way to change parts w/o doing each component individually? I looked in the network editor, didn't see anything.

I don't expect anyone to give me an answer prior to me finishing this work, but I'm sure this won't be the last time it ever happens.

Thanks in advance.

Hi! I don't have an answer to your problem, but hope that you have some ideas for mine...
I'm new to the pipeline industry and I recently discovered that our CAD centerlines were inaccurately drawn by the technician who preveiously held my position. We're moving to a GIS, and correct centerlines are necessary before we proceed. From the original Alignment Sheets, I have calculated the bearings and slope distances between PIs. How do I derive horizontal distances in order to redraw the centerlines? Do you have any suggestions, or can you point me in the right direction? Thanks for your consideration, Keri
