Hi Everybody,

Is it possible to draw a spiral wall in Revit Building? Can anybody help me?

The easier way is to place an inclined Reference Plane and attach the wall to it.

I used a different technique to achieve a helical look: one spiral extrusion plus two elliptical voids. It looks OK but is not that accurate.

Could you post more on how you did this? Maybe attach the .rvt file?

Remember that this has been done playfully and much more attention and time are needed to produce a constructable shape.

You can also create a helix (I'm assuming that's what's you're after) by using a railing with whatever profile you fancy....This method can't produce a wall object unlike the earlier solid/void interplay.

All these are work around for an issue which should me more of a straight forward command. It is done in desktop easily. If grips can be provided for all edges of walls rather than in base only this can be acheived easily by stretching the top edge grip of an acr wall to acheive a spiral wall. This was in desktop right from the start. I assume expanding grips capabilities will also help acheive unlimited complex forms which so far are near impossible to acheive using masses and voids.
