Visibility Graphics

Am I missing something here? In the Visibility Graphics pane, when I select "ALL", I mean for Revit to select (or deselect) all boxes. It seems that it only selects the boxes that are visible. Is there a way to select ALL the boxes (categories & subcategories)? Or is my interpretation of ALL different than other's? Quite simply when I say ALL, I mean visible or not. Is there a way to do this or do I have to always "Expand all" first?
