I made a new roof material and applied a model surface pattern which I converted from an ADT .pat file. My next step is to add a new texture.
I downloaded a roof texture from RUGI and would like to copy into one of the .mlib files (like the USER.mlib file) so I can select and apply it. I can't figure out how to do this - how do I open a .mlib file so I can copy a texture into it?
Thanks a lot

Settings>Materials>
this brings up a dialog box, click duplicate, name the material.
now in the accurender box, click select, now click material on the pull down top right. select new default grey.
Now click the maps tab and add.
then browse to your texture.
You may need to scale the texture up or down or rotate it. there are many options from this point on.
You just need to experiment or find an accurender help file.
But it is important to note that accurender brings textures in at a multiple of decimal feet.
so for example if you have an image of a brick wall and the image is showing 2 feet of masonry, then on the scale factor you type in 2 for the y value.
so whatever size your image is in real life, if it's a 8ft x 8ft picture of something the scale factor will be 8
Hope this helps.

Scott,
Would you mind posting this info as a tip? It's great!

Thanks for your help Scott, I have it working on my roof now. I just have to figure out how to get better definition on my renderings - they are a bit blurry.

Up your resolution to at least 150 dpi, I usually run test renders @ 8"x8" @ 150 dpi.

you need to adjust your resolution. typically for a final photo realistic rendering 11x17 I use 300dpi and the best setting on the rendering settings.
