Batch purging/converting wanted!

I've just upgraded to revit 8.1: i know that this version has its own API, so i ask you if exist a way to program a command to convert to the new file format a set of families, and while converting, to set up the family files in order to purge all unused line models/styles, materials, hatch patterns, arrow styles and so on... .

This won't purge, but it will update your families. It's been posted on the forum before. I haven't seen anything yet that will do the purging automatically, & I don't know programming well enough to know if the API is capable of this or not.
