Is there a way to make gridlines default to having bubbles turned on one or both ends? Right now when I add grids, I have to go through every floor plan or any other view that has the grids visible and turn on the bubbles on one or both ends. Is there a way to change the default?

You can set it in the type properties of the grid line. Before you draw a grid line hit the Properties button. Select Edit/New and under "Other" there is and option to have Bubble at End 1 and 2 on by default.

Is there a way to change the default?
My team had this same problem. I found it useful to create new types for the Grid system family for a particular project. The building in the clip has 7 levels of parking and retail, 3 levels of health club, a south tower with 6 levels for condos and a north tower with 7 levels for a hotel. So the building only has 16 floors maximum but requires 24 levels since the floor-to-floor heights are different in the towers. With the technique I developed, the team was able to get the basic grid as correct as possible and then select groups of grid lines to change bubble locations for the variable floors. We liked this a whole bunch better than checking and unchecking the ends of each grid line depending on the view.
As an aside, I also made a bubble family without the parameter display. It was a design preference to display a round bubble with no text instead of nothing prior to finalizing the grid numbering. Since the information is in the grid line anyway, not having the label display does not hurt anything.
Good luck,
PBR
