Ok, my question to anyone is how does one go about exporting a model in revit to ms visio? I am currently using revit 8.0 and visio for enterprise architects 2003. I have tried to export to IFC with no success... any help from someone would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, and a Happy New Year to you all.

I believe Visio Professional will import a 2D .dwg file. Export a Revit view to experiment.

You cannot do this directly from Revit but you can import a .DWG or .DXF file in Visio. So you are stuck with the interim RVT to DWG or DXF to VSD. Open Visio, go to Insert>CAD Drawing. It is not an import or open command which is where one thinks to look. For what it's worth, Visio does not like ADT either even when it's a .dwg format. The MS Help Menu through Visio can get you to a list of compatible formats. An .RVT file is not one.
Depending on what you are doing with it in the end (I use Visio for non-drawing purposes like training manuals, GANTT charts, org charts and more), I have cheated a bunch of times with a Revit screen shot that I crop and scale as an image pasted into Visio. Not a real drawing but for my purposes, it was good enough.
Hope this helps.
