Existing contour lines

Is there a way to have the existing contour line display as hidden lines after the site is graded. I want to grade a residential site in a small area for a new garage pad. I would like to retain the existing topo in that area and have it display as hidden lines.

If you set the phase filter for a hidden line view (or wireframe if you want to see both) to "show all", that portion of the existing site's topo that was graded will show the contours as dashed lines.
