Edit Wall Profile out of Work Plane?

I am trying to edit some wall profiles on one of my building elevations and for the life of me I can't figure out why it keeps showing up in "eidt" mode with green-dashed lines (screenshot001) instead of the solid-purple lines (screenshot002) ? I picked a work plane in front of the wall I am trying to edit and it still shows up this way (see attached screenshot001).

Any suggestions?

Make sure the "Lines" category is turned on. Oddly enough, you won't be able to see the sketch lines if this category is off in the view. This applies to any sketch-based object...
