I've created a wall type that has a concrete footing profile.Why is it that at a corner, I end up with the footings not meeting with a clean juction. Help!?

Hi Gary,

Why don't you rather use the Continuous Footing tool?
It may be that your wall are not level, therefore not joining.
You could try stretching the walls. (Click on the blue dot at the wall end once the wall is selected right click, and disallow join) drag it to where it needs to be and join geometry.

Are you trying to create a System Wall Family Type-Foundation with a Footing profile sweep at the bottom; or are you using the Host Sweep tool on the Model tab of the Design bar to host a sweep around your foundation walls?

You question seems to imply that you have added a custom profile sweep to the wall family type.

If so there should be no problem as I just created a wall type (see attached Ref file with a footing-24x12 profile I just created. Attached is the RVT file (Sample Foundation Wall Type with Sweep Footing Profile.rvt) with the foundation wall type (Foundation - 12" Concrete w/Ftg) and the profile (Footing 24x12.rfa) in the wall type structure edit dialog box and drew some walls.
