Dimension Snaps

I am having a problem dimensioning a wall w/ a 45<. The wall is comprised of a 2x4 core with 1/2" sheetrock finishes on both sides. When I try to dimension to the core face of the 45 it will only snap to the sheetrock. My dimensions are set to "face of core" & my 2x4 is the only thing within the core wall settings. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a known issue, do a search and you will find tons of discussions on this. the easiest workaround is to draw a small line at the core corner and dim to it.

As Scott said.

Using TAB key to select the core face and a Detail line to mark the other end of the required dimension. ( Turn Detail Line to Invisible for output )
