Hi all,

Stumped here. We'd like 11, 700, 134 square feet instead of 117700134 square feet. I think our clients would as well. Is there a good way to do this besides creating another field, manually typing in the values, and then hiding the "real" data?

Thanks,
Chris

I think this has been a wishlist item since release 2, but never asked for since. Probably needs a few more people to chime and we might get it.

11 million square feet? What kind of project are you working on?!

By my calculations, that's roughly 1 mile by 1/2 mile.

I'd hate to see the roof drains on that puppy!

Planning a major campus. Lots 'o Buildings.

But we would feel the same about 10345 sq. feet as well.

I agree, I would like this too. Even for 1003. It just caught me off guard to see that large of a number with "square feet" after it :)

FYI...here's the message back from Autodesk...

Dear Christopher,

As you are already aware, this request has already been made to development. I have added your firm's name to the list of users requesting this functionality. However, this feature has not been scheduled to be added to the next release of Revit.

Best Regards,

ugh, how hard can this be? This seems like one of the little issues that someone should take couple hours to clean up. But then I don't know programming, so maybe it's harder than I think, but sure doesn't seem like it would be...

I would like to see the comma option myself. Some database programs, even MS Excel, have this so why is Revit lacking a common feature.
