I am getting the following message when I try to open a central file.
"Data in file needs to be manually upgraded. Please contact Service
Provider."
Who do I contact or what do I need to do to solve this?

Call the reseller from whom you bought the program. Or you could also try calling Autodesk Revit directly, at 1-877-477-3848.

Regenerating this post from waaaay back then, because i just got the same error message.

Revit Building v9
Very large worsetted project.

I made some serious global changes (Scobe box assigning for Grids, and changing wall types...) and now i cant STC and relinquish. So the entire project team is basically dead in the water...

You are better off making a new central out of your local, then recreate new locals from that.

Thanks for the advice... One of the guys here figured it out. Evidently, making broad strokes globally like purging ununsed items is not a good idea when 5 other people are in the file... LOL.

We had everyone else STC and get out, and then it let me STC and relinquish.... Phew!

Lesson learned!
