I have a condition where a continuous footing should extend 4" beyond the end of a "fin" wall. I don't see a way to do that so far. Is it possible?

You have three options as I see it:

One - Create a footing family that you can lenghten and shorten as needed. This will have to be placed manualy. This will not be able to be placed by the footing tool. You will drag it to the location and stretch it to look the way you wanted.

Two - Create the same footing object as above but attach it to the end of the standard footing element that you can add through the footing tool.

Three - Keep screaming, like me, untill the factory gives us a better footing tool.

Hi,
Forget the continuous wall footing function for now. Its use is very limited so far. Use a foundation wall type instead for your footing.

I love reference lines!

Just draw a ref. line and align end of footing to it. Should work.
