Im in the Process of adding the Flashings to my model/drawings
Im Presently making the Cap Flashings from hosted Fascia Sweeps & Wall Sweeps
i have run into the problem with wall sweeps only being horiz or vert. (ive got lots of wall with different angles everywhere).

any advice on how to achieve the flashings with the hosted sweeps?
or am i barking up the wrong tree? (with hosted sweeps)

note:
the client & the boss like 3d views so im trying to model the flashings as much as i can.

Cheers

Hosted sweeps work great with the rooves but for the flashing at the top of the wall i think you would need to model this as an in place family and use the sweep tool. It doesn't take too long and probably no longer than doing the hosted sweep. You can use the "pick" tool in the sweep path to select the top of the wall and then just draw the profile and let it do its thing.

Besides generally i find the wall hostsweeps pretty temperamental.

You could use a fascia sweep. Create a profile for the flashing and attached it to the roof just like you would the fascia. Setback its distance to the position you need to get it in front of or on top of the wall.
