http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp do you find any shortcomings? things it has difficulties with? or things that it does better than anything you might have used before?

We use this as well, and so far have not had any issues. I changed to this after my prints weren't being centred when using PDF995.
CutePDF is really simple, and integrated well with every program I use it with...

I have been using pdf995 for quite some time. I got my IT department to purchase some unlock codes to get rid of the ads. I had some difficulty at first trying to get a drawing rotated on the page correctly. Once I figured out all the settings, I haven't had any issues.

I tried WIN2PDF and PDF 995. All I had were problems with the win2pdf and I got tired of the pop-ups on 995. So I did some research and found PDF-XChange Lite for $20. I think it was the best $20 I ever spent on software. I can print any size pdf, have the lines merge and the output files aren't large in size.
What else could you want? I guess if it were free, that would make it better!

At our Firm, we use the 955 printer and it generally works well. However, when we print dwgs that contain image masks, they print black. Anyone know how to fix this?

Although I generally believe you get what you pay for, I have problem after problem with my users and Adobe Acrobat Standard. Usually related to plot rotation, and or plot size.
We installed CutePDF on a few stations and those users are not having these problems anymore. We have also purchased a few more of the products offered at [ http://www.cutepdf.com/ ] and are equally satified.

I don't believe that I've had any difficulties (using acrobat 6 here at work).

I did a search on pdf + Black and I did not get any results. It appears that the image mask works as the pdf pops up on the computer screen, but then the text with the image mask prints black. I went into the options to change the graphics tab to merge but I still have the same result when it prints. Any ideas

I did a search on pdf + Black and I did not get any results.Hi
The following search criteria should work once plugged into the forum search (http://forums.augi.com/search.php?) facility...
Key Word(s): *PDF* + *Wipeout*
21 results should be returned.
Have a good one, Mike

Hi
Key Word(s): *PDF* + *Wipeout*
You guys need to post a legend on the search page to explain * and + and any other special symbols and their meaning.

Info on * can be found here ( Forum Searches using short words and abbreviations (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=8154) ).
Info on + should not be required as it is a standard boolean logic search operator.
Have a good one, Mike

That doesn't help a new AUGI member, who wouldn't think to *search* on how to use the search page, and who may not be educated on "standard boolean logic search operator"s
Just a suggestion. Might save a new user some time, and a long time user a few posts....
